Learning Dispositions

Over the past term, our learning communities have been investigating how their sense of wellbeing as a learner is enhanced when they understand how they learn, develop resilience in their learning and work towards their potential.

As part of this learning, students have been learning about dispositions. A disposition is defined as a person's usual temperament or frame of mind. We have been looking at our dispositions towards learning. Students have then created lists of dispositions that they feel they display towards their learning. Some of these dispositions are being:

  • Resilient
  • Collaborative
  • Curious
  • Persistent
  • Creative

Our students were displaying these dispositions in their learning communities through persisting when cutting and creating art pieces, having a go at new sports, collaborating in groups and displaying stamina while reading.
