Library Update
With the term well underway, we’d like to provide you with a few important updates from the library.
Ms. Lee has been working diligently to organise and distribute the donated books to students. We expect these books to be ready within the next two weeks. Once available, Mr. Matthews will offer them to the students and families who generously purchased them for the school. These books can then be loaned out until the end of the year.
In addition, we have received a large number of new books to add to our shelves. To help with this, we may be seeking parent volunteers to assist with a book covering drive at school. Please keep an eye on this newsletter for further details in the coming weeks.
A friendly reminder: If you receive multiple late notices for the same book, please continue to search for it at home. Our primary goal is to have books returned so as many students as possible can enjoy our collection. Some titles are no longer in print, making replacement difficult if they are lost. So, please check under sofas, in wardrobes, or even inside toy chests—we hope these books will be found and returned soon.
As you know, our books travel through many hands and homes. While some wear and tear is expected, the library staff have noticed several new books being returned in poor condition. We kindly ask all families in the Chatswood community to help care for these books. Students are required to bring a library bag for borrowing; without one, they cannot take books home. Although we do our best to maintain and preserve the collection, your support in looking after the books ensures they remain in good condition for future students.
Thank you for your continued support in caring for our library collection.
