Beginning of Term 4:
VCE-Vocational Major – ‘This is Me’ Exhibition
In Week 1 of Term 4, the 2025 VCE-Vocational Major graduates had their final assessment for Unit 4 WRS – a celebration of their Work Related Skills, an exhibition called “This is Me”. In presenting themselves as individuals ready for the workforce, the students were also able to draw on their successes and experiences in their other VCE-VM subjects, as well as their VET subjects (which they have undertaken at TAFE) and their work placements. As such, the exhibition represented a culmination of their entire Vocational Major experience.
The Gym Mezzanine classroom was decked out, with each student hosting an exhibit table displaying evidence of their employability in their chosen field. Many industries and occupations were represented, from beauty to sports management, construction to photography, hospitality to nursing and more!
All staff and all Year 7 students were invited to the exhibition, to observe the displays, participate in the interactive activities and ask questions of the VM students. The Year 7 students were very enthusiastic and curious visitors, given the Year 12 copious opportunity to demonstrate their employability skills as well as answer many questions – preparing them well for the world of work.
For the first time, the Year 11 VCE-VM students were invited to their own private viewing of the Exhibition, as a preview of their final year next year. This will help prepare them for success next year!

VCE VM Year 11 excursion to Queen Victoria Market
The year 11s embarked on an excursion to the Queen Victoria Market. During their time there, they explored the different sections providing fresh food, sampled unfamiliar foods and engaged with many of the various vendors; asking questions about price, availability, and seasonal changes.
It was incredible to see the students brave what most adults wouldn’t and ask the hard questions free of judgement and criticism. This excursion was a part of a much larger project, which the class is set to present at the end of the term.
