October - The Month of the Rosary
Celebrating the Month of the Rosary
October is a special time in the Catholic tradition known as The Month of the Rosary. It's a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about the Rosary, a beautiful and meaningful way of praying.
What is the Rosary?
The Rosary uses a string of beads to help us keep track of prayers like the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be. It's more than just counting beads, though! As we say the prayers, we are asked to quietly think about important events, or "mysteries," in the lives of Jesus and Mary. It’s a peaceful way to reflect on their story and grow closer to God.
Learning in the Classroom
Over the next 2 week students will
- Learn the basic prayers that make up the Rosary.
- Discuss the "mysteries" in simple terms, focusing on the joy and love within them.
- Engage in hands-on activities, such as drawing or making simple crafts related to the Rosary.
Our goal is to help your children understand that the Rosary is a thoughtful and calming way to express their faith.

Catholic Mission Week 19th October
Socktober 2025 - Zambia
This year we were raising awareness and funds for communities in Zambia, to help ensure children have access to food and education, giving them the chance to build a brighter future.
Soctober at St Joseph's School
Week 2 we are asking families to bring in any old t-shirts or odd socks! We will be using these on Thursday 23rd to make soccer balls!
Friday 24th October - Crazy Sock Day! Gold Coin donation!
