Holiday Recounts
It was wonderful to hear about everyone's favourite moments and all the fun things they did during the holidays. In our recounts, we focused on adding descriptive details to make our writing interesting and engaging. The students enjoyed sharing their special memories and listening to each other’s stories.
Maths - Location
We are currently learning about location in maths. We have been exploring positional language such as next to, behind, in front, under, on top, above, between, left, right, forward, backwards, clockwise and anticlockwise. Through hands-on activities, we followed and gave directions to find places on a map and described where objects were located. We also enjoyed creating our own park by carefully following directions and placing items accurately.
Twisted Science Excursion
On the last week of Term 3, we went on an exciting excursion to Twisted Science. We were so eager to explore and learn more about forces. During our visit, we took part in a hands-on workshop where we investigated different types of forces and how they work. After that, we explored the floor exhibits, which were full of fun and interactive activities that helped us learn through play and discovery.

“I learnt that gravity pulls things down when they are up in the air. I also learnt that north and north poles and south and south poles repel.” - Zarla
“Twisted Science was fun because we got to play different games like makin bubbles and touching insects that were spiky.” - George
“My favourite part of the Twisted Science excursion was learning about the Van de Graaff generator because it lifts up your hair when you touch it with both hands. I also learnt that when we use the Van de Graaff generator electricity in our body makes our hair go up.” - Nanta
