Principal's News

We acknowledge the Taungurung people, the traditional custodians of this land and we pay our respect to their elders past, present and emerging.

Dear Families,

Welcome to Week 9!

Last Friday, we farewelled Therese with a celebration including a movie, special hot dog lunch and assembly. The children presented her with beautiful handmade books and other gifts, and she was deeply touched by their thoughtfulness. Therese is currently enjoying her travels in Italy, and her last update mentioned she was about to visit the Colosseum—she is having a wonderful time.

We look forward to welcoming Sam Kerlin on Monday, 6th October, as Term 4 begins. We’re excited to have Sam join our team and continue the wonderful work in the school.

Our Father’s Day Breakfast was once again a great success, with a fantastic turnout of fathers, grandfathers, and other special guests. A huge thank you to our staff for their early morning efforts in preparing, cooking, and cleaning up—it was appreciated by the visitors.

Congratulations to Ollie Thomson, Emma Rieusset, Noah Hamill, and Charlotte Peel, who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation last Friday following the Year 1/2 class Mass. To celebrate, Year 2 enjoyed a fish and chip lunch on Monday. It was a beautiful ceremony and a proud moment for all involved—well done!

We are pleased to welcome Rachel back to Year 2 following her period of long service leave. We extend our appreciation to Jake Penman for the manner in which he fulfilled this role throughout Term 3.

As Katherine King commences her long service leave during the first month of Term 4, we wish her safe and pleasant travels. We are grateful to Jake Penman for once again stepping into this position during her absence.

Over 4660 students across the Goulburn Valley participated in this year's Water Week competition - Don't Flush It! Students were provided with a roll of toilet paper and decorated it with the theme of what should and shouldn't be flushed down the toilet. Congratulations to the winners: Lexi, Scarlett and Cedric.

As Term 3 concludes, we take this opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of our students, staff, and families. It has been a busy term filled with lots of learning. We will celebrate the term with a Whole School Mass on Friday the 19th of September at 12.30pm, you are most welcome to join us.

We wish everyone a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday break. We look forward to welcoming you back refreshed and ready for the exciting term ahead.

Take care,

Lou Frewen.
