Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,

On behalf of all the staff at Sacred Heart, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a fantastic term. It has undoubtedly been a busy term, with various sporting events, excursions, Book Week, and the Foundation swimming program. Thus, we look forward to a restful and relaxing break, ready for a great fourth term. We have Year 3, 4, and 6 Camps in our calendars, as well as the Peter Pan Performance, to name just a few of the ‘big ticket’ items to look forward to in Term 4.

As we move towards the end of term, a reminder that the last day of Term 3 is Thursday, 18th September, with students finishing at the usual time of 3:15pm. On this day, we will also celebrate Footy Colours Day, a chance for everyone to dress in the colours of their favourite team and enjoy the fun and excitement of the footy finals season. It is also Hot Dog day where the children will be given a Hot Dog and a drink for lunch. We are asking students to bring a gold coin donation that will go towards our selected fundraising group ‘OneHope Community Care’. This is a community meal program that offers those in need a warm cooked meal on a Thursday and a community foodbank on a Tuesday.  They offer meals to all those who are struggling financially and aim to provide cooked meals, fresh produce, pantry items, and community connection.

There is no school on Friday 19th as staff will be participating in Professional Development on Structured Literacy.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to finishing the term on a high note together.

Kind regards,

Karl Dwyer
