Year 9 APP - Rites of Passage Update 

Our Year 9 Rites of Passage students returned from their camp on Friday night and joined with their parents at the Return Gathering. This camp is an integral part of our new program that has been designed in collaboration with Dr Arne Rubenstein at the Rites of Passage Institute. The experience was significant for students, creating time and space for the students to explore their sense of self and their connection to with their family and others, and to share what they hope to carry with them into adulthood. For the parents, it was an opportunity to celebrate their son or daughters’ unique gifts and talents, and see them with fresh eyes as they begin their journey into the next phase of life. A very special few days for all involved. 

How can I be involved next year?

All Year 8 parents have been emailed information regarding our Rites of Passage Program for Year 9 in 2026. It is a refined version of our regular APP program that includes all our core APP topics, plus a carefully integrated Rites of Passage framework designed to support students and their families through the transition from childhood to young adulthood.
