Week 8, Term 3 Newsletter Update

As we move into the final stretch of Term 3, Week 8 has been packed with exciting events and important milestones across the school.

Student Free Day – Friday 5th September

This Friday, students will enjoy a Student Free Day, while staff engage in a full day of professional development. This is a valuable opportunity for our teachers to collaborate, reflect, and refine their practice to continue delivering high-quality learning experiences.

LAUNCH Conference – Inspiring Future Innovators

Also happening this Friday is the highly anticipated LAUNCH Conference. We’re thrilled to welcome approximately 50 students from local primary schools to our campus, where they’ll participate in a series of STEAM workshops run by our very own students. This event is a fantastic showcase of leadership, creativity, and collaboration, and we’re proud of the effort our students have put into preparing engaging and hands-on learning experiences for our visitors.

Book Week – A Celebration of Stories

Last week, we celebrated Book Week with great enthusiasm! It was wonderful to see so many students and staff getting involved in activities, dress-ups, and discussions that celebrated the joy of reading. The energy and creativity on display made it a week to remember.

Year 9 Camp – Adventure and Growth

Our Year 9 students recently returned from a successful and memorable camp experience. The camp provided opportunities for team-building, personal growth, and outdoor adventure while improving their survival skills. A special highlight was the Rites of Passage program, where a group of Year 9 students engaged in a powerful journey of reflection, resilience, and connection. We commend all students for their participation and the maturity they demonstrated throughout the experience.

Senior School Focus – Exam Preparation

With Term 3 drawing to a close, our senior students are deep into exam preparation:

  • Year 12s are gearing up for their final external assessments and sitting their ‘Mock Block’ exams. We encourage all students to stay focused, make use of available resources, and reach out to their teachers for support. Every bit of preparation now will pay off in the weeks ahead.
  • Year 11s are currently in their Exam Block and finalising their Unit 2 results. We wish them all the best and remind them to maintain a balanced routine of study, rest, and wellbeing.
