The Resilience Project

In Year One during Wellbeing, we have been learning to notice our body cues that tell us when something might be wrong, such as when we feel worried, scared, or uncomfortable, and talking about ways to respond to those feelings. Students have also been naming their safe adults at school and at home, so they know who they can go to for help. Another key focus has been learning about our personal bubble and respecting the space of others. We have talked about asking for and giving consent before entering someone’s personal space, like when giving a hug or playing closely with a friend. These lessons support students to build confidence, stay safe, and develop positive relationships.
