Chinese Cultural Day

Last week, the whole school celebrated Chinese Cultural Day. It was filled with colours, music and excitement.

Children dressed up in traditional Chinese clothing and colours representing Chinese culture. 

The morning began with a Traditional Ribbon Dance incursion, where students were amazed by the dancer’s graceful movements and even had a chance to try some of the steps themselves.

In the afternoon, students enjoyed a series of cultural performances, including the distinctive costumes and dramatic movements of Peking Opera,

the beautiful music of the guzheng (a traditional Chinese zither), 

a thrilling martial arts demonstration from a 34th Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk, 

and the dazzling Sichuan Face-Changing show. 

It was a wonderful day of learning and celebrating the richness of Chinese culture.
