V. Soumelidis

Dear Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at our successful learning conversations last week. Engaging with families from Preschool through to Year 6 about your children’s learning plays a vital role in supporting their growth and achievements. Thank you for taking the time to be involved and for your ongoing partnership.

I would also like to remind everyone about the importance of safe drop-off and pick-up routines. Recently, there have been some concerning and unsafe driving behaviours within our community. Please ensure you are not parking in the drop-off and pick-up zones, avoid pulling into the staff driveway, and never reverse onto the road from the driveway. For everyone’s safety, please ensure all children use the pedestrian crossing when arriving and leaving school.

A reminder to download the School Bytes app if you haven’t already. All school communications and excursion information are now distributed via this platform, and we will be sending minimal paper notes home moving forward.

Kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are still open, and we have many outstanding forms yet to be submitted. Kindergarten transition will begin in Week 4 of Term 4, and it is essential that all children attend these sessions. If your child currently attends our Preschool, please remember you still need to enrol them in Kindergarten. Preschool positions for 2026 are filling up fast, so if you require a Preschool placement, please contact the front office as soon as possible. Preschool transition sessions also start in Week 4 of Term 4.

Our Stage 3 camp left today, and we wish all students and staff a fantastic time filled with fun and lasting memories. A big thank you to Mr Davis, Miss Saengphachanh, and Miss Skoolbunthit for organising such an amazing experience for our students.

Finally, a reminder that Friday, 26th September will be the last day of Term 3. Please ensure all students attend school every day and arrive on time right up until the end.

We are excited to welcome Mrs Soumelidis back in Week 1 of Term 4. We hope she is enjoying a well-deserved and restful holiday. All staff will return on Monday 13th October from the school holiday break and will be engaging in professional learning focused on the new syllabus and to prepare for the students’ return.

Please note that the first day back for all students will be Tuesday 14th October.

I wish all our students and families a relaxing and safe holiday ahead.

Warm regards,

Mrs Hayton
