Attendance and First Aid Reminder

We'd like to remind families of a few important points to help keep our school community safe, healthy and ready to learn:

• Attendance - Consistent attendance is vital for your child's learning. If your child is absent, please notify the school via Xuno, phone or email including the reason for their absence.
• When to stay home - If your child is unwell (e.g. fever, vomiting, contagious illnesses such as flu or gastro), please keep the at home until they are fully recovered.
• Sick Bay procedures - Students should only go to sick bay if they are generally unwell, have an injury or need staff assistance. For example, headaches, stomach aches, dizziness, cuts or grazes and other situations where they cannot continue with learning or play safely. Minor issues, such as wanting a rest break, feeling tired or avoiding class are not reasons to attend. We encourage families to have discussions with their child about when it is appropriate to visit sick bay so that staff can prioritise students who truly need medical attention.
• Medical updates - Please inform the school of any medical conditions, allergies, medication changes, or follow up instructions from doctors. This ensures we can provide the right care and support while your child is at school.
• Other updates - changes to emergency contact details or family circumstances should also be shared with the office to keep our records current.
