Footsteps Fun in Action!
This term, all GPS students are taking part in the Footsteps Program!
Through dance and movement, our students are building fitness, teamwork, confidence, and social skills. It’s been wonderful to see the enthusiasm, smiles, and energy as classes join in and learn together. We’re so proud of how our students are embracing this experience!
Year 1 & 2 Students Explore Gorge Wildlife Park!
Our Year 1 and 2 students have been busy researching animals for their information reports and what better way to learn than by seeing them in real life at Gorge Wildlife Park!
Students were excited to spot their chosen animals and hear from the keeper about a koala, a corn snake, and a tortoise. It was a fun, hands-on experience that brought our learning to life, we can’t wait to read the fantastic reports that will come from it!
Fathers Day Stall
Happy Father’s Day to all our GPS dads & loved ones!
We hope you enjoyed your special gifts chosen with love by the children.
A huge thank you to our Parents & Friends volunteers for organising the stall and supporting our students as they picked the perfect present!
Book Week 2025 📚
What an incredible celebration we had for Book Week!
A big congratulations to all our students for their creativity, enthusiasm, and wonderful costumes – you truly brought your favourite characters to life.
We also extend a big thank you to our staff, whose efforts helped make the day such a success.
The parade was full of colour, excitement, and plenty of smiles. Each class had the chance to walk proudly around the courts, showing off their costumes and enjoying the cheers from their peers. One of the highlights was the high-five lap, where every student got to celebrate with the whole school in a fun and supportive way.
It was a fantastic day filled with joy, laughter, and a love of reading. Well done to everyone for making Book Week 2025 such a memorable event! 🌟👏📚
As part of Book Week 2025, our students enjoyed a special Buddy Class Activity based on this year’s shortlisted picture book, We Live in a Bus.
The story follows a family’s adventures as they travel around Australia, sparking curiosity, imagination, and lots of fun discussion. Students nominated peers to present the story, with one reading aloud and another performing sound effects. These presentations were shared with both their own class and their buddy class, creating a wonderful collaborative experience.
The Buddy Class Activities were a fantastic way to celebrate reading, teamwork, and creativity, and we thank all our students and staff for making it such an engaging part of Book Week! 🌟📖
