Jeff Olver is a distinguished soccer coach and former professional goalkeeper, renowned for his extensive experience and significant contributions to the sport. As a player, Jeff earned numerous caps for the Australian national team and played for several top-tier clubs, where he was celebrated for his exceptional skills and consistency. Transitioning to coaching, Jeff has been instrumental in youth development and has held various professional coaching positions, where his strategic acumen and leadership have significantly contributed to team success. His coaching philosophy emphasises technical excellence, tactical understanding, and holistic player development, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Known for his dedication, passion, and integrity, Jeff has made a lasting impact on the soccer community. His commitment to nurturing young talent and his ability to inspire players and coaches alike have cemented his legacy as a highly respected figure in the sport. Sam Allen

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Sam is an accredited exercise scientist with experience in high-performance sports, biomechanics, physiology, and injury management. Holding a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science from Deakin University and certifications including ESSA and ASCA Level 1, Sam excels in developing specific programs for athletes, focusing on both recovery and injury prevention.  Emphasizing data analysis, activity planning, and effective communication, Sam fosters holistic athlete development and continuous professional growth in sports science.

Klara Wischer

Basketball Coach

Ivanhoe Edge proudly announces the addition of Klara Wischer as one of our basketball coaches. Klara played college basketball for the San Diego Toreros before debuting in the WNBL for the Perth Lynx in 2015. Klara returned to the WNBL in 2023 with the Southside Flyers, winning the WNBL Championship with the team. With experience from leagues in Australia and the United States, including her recent tenure with the Sandringham Sabres in the NBL1, Klara brings versatility, offensive prowess, and strong defensive capabilities. Flyers Head Coach Cheryl Chambers commends Klara's exceptional work rate and energy. Klara’s arrival bolsters Ivanhoe Edge with a dynamic and adaptable coach. Liv Lewis

Netball Coach

Olivia Lewis is a standout Australian netball player known for her career in the Suncorp Super Netball league. Beginning with the West Coast Fever in 2019, Lewis made an immediate impact, earning the Fever Coaches Award and multiple selections in the Australian Development squad. She continued her success with the Melbourne Vixens in 2022, playing a key role in their season, including a Grand Final appearance. Recognized for her leadership, she was appointed joint captain of the Victoria Fury for the Australian Netball Championships. Joining the Melbourne Mavericks in 2024 as a startup player, Lewis also secured a position in their leadership group, valued for her defensive skills and ability to handle formidable opponents on the court.
