Eclipse House News

As Semester One comes to a close, many boarders are itching to see family, ride their dirt bikes, rest, travel and spend time on the farm. Term Two has been filled with laughter, tears, joy, success, failure, and personal growth. I reflect on the growth many of these Eclipse boarders have achieved over the course of five months. This is demonstrated in their personal routines, friendships, academics, sporting pursuits and daily commitments. I congratulate all Eclipse boys on their commitment to their unique pathways and thank them for an enjoyable Semester One.
Within Eclipse we have an outstanding team of supervisors that week in and week out, are there to support each boy to achieve their absolute best. From me and each boy, to you, simply, thank you for all you do Bryce McLean, Sally Mellows, Mikaela Burton, Carter Wight, James Egan and Matthew Ferreria.
Holiday Goal
We live in boarding to the morning alarm clock chime, ten school bells across the day, the ding and beep of email notifications, text messages, meetings and phone calls. We are saturated with appointments and places to be, things to learn and deadlines to meet. When all this stops, what do we do? We reflect! We unplug and spend time in nature. This recharges the batteries and allows us to realign back to our goals. This holiday period and half time break I challenge you to unplug and spend time off screens and in the elements.
Reports
At the end of Semester One, we are given the opportunity to reflect on the data so far. Please take a moment over the break to sit with your child and go over their progress so far. Outline areas of improvement and focus for Semester Two. As we commence next term please get in touch as I am here to help!
Birthdays
