Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Welcome back to the Start of Term 3!  I hope you all had a great mid year break and are ready for a very busy Term 3.  This term we will be preparing for our whole school production, Mrs Earle (Performing Arts) and Mrs Brown (Visual Arts) have been very busy getting the production up and runnning.  The Junior School (Prep - Year 2) production will be The Journey of the Noble Gnarble and the Senior School (Year 3 - Year 6) production will be Finding Nemo Jr.

My sincere thanks to the many parents who have already contributed their time and skills in preparing props and stage decorations.  It is going to be a very exciting production.

Grandparents Day

Next Tuesday is our annual Grandparents and special friends day.  The day begins at 8:30am where all visitors are invited to the classrooms to meet the class teachers and see the children's work.  Mass will begin at 9:15am in the church.  After mass all of our visitors are invited to the hall for a special morning tea.  Please note that this is a whole school event and we will need any parents attending to assist in the hall with serving tea and coffee.

Cyber Safety

St. Patrick's school has a wonderful online cyber safety resource for all families to use.  We will be highlighting different sections to the community each week in a new section of our school newsletter.

P & F Casino Night

Friday 2nd August is our rescheduled Casino Night P&F event.  This promises to be a fun night for all involved.  Tickets can be accessed via the link below or on the P&F page of this newsletter.

School Fees

Please note that the latest updated school fee statements have been emailed to families by Mrs Easton earlier this week.

Protective Behaviours and Sex Ed

This term St. Patrick's School will be providing classroom sessions for students (Prep - Year 6) centred around protective behaviours.  These include: keeping ourselves safe, body parts and listening to what our body is telling us.

Our presenter and facilitator is Mrs. Sue Pain who has worked extensively at St. Patrick's School over the past few years.

 There will also be an online parent and family sessions for Sex Ed.

 

The online Parent Information evening is scheduled for:  

Thursday 25th July, 7pm - 8pm.  

All parents are encouraged to attend.  An audiri message and link has been sent to parents today regarding this.

 

The online Family Sex Ed sessions will be offered on: 

Thursday 1st August 

Year 3 & 4 Families - 6pm - 7pm

Year 5 & 6 Families - 7:15pm - 8:15pm

 

Online booking links will be sent out via Audiri closer to the dates.  

There is no cost to families for these sessions

Student Leadership

Our new Semester 2 Student Leaders in Prep to Year 5 will receive their badges at next week's assembly.  The list of new leaders is listed in this edition of the newsletter.

Welcome to new students and staff

We warmly welcome Miss Sarah Crough who will be taking over Mrs Pearson's Year 3 Class for the remainder of the year.  The Year 3 class will now be known as 3SC.
