Reflections on last week...

I thoroughly enjoyed being at the Infants Cross Country last Friday. The smiles, the determination and the cheering makes me feel proud that our youngest students really give their best and support one another.

Well done to Year 1E and Year 2 for their Eisteddfod participation. I will miss hearing their beautiful voices as I walk past their rooms.

We also had league and league tag and a virtual chess competition. I really would like to acknowledge our teaching staff who make all these extra curricula activities a reality for our students even whilst preparing lessons, teaching and writing reports.

This Week - Week 8

Well done to our Secondary Girls Soccer Team who I watched yesterday in the Regional Final of the Bill Turner Trophy. I loved their spirit even when behind - they played as a team and supported one another until the final whistle. Super proud of their achievement.

There is more sport this week too!

Nudgee School Musical Performance

On Wednesday all students will listen to a performance by the Brisbane school "Nudgee" band. We are pleased they have included us on their regional tour. The performance will be for around 30 minutes.

Random NESA Audit

This Thursday two NESA inspectors will be visiting our school complete a random audit. The areas they will be checking is Child Safety, Discipline, Timetabling and Stage 4 HSIE. Thanks to our staff who have prepared for this audit in a very busy time of term.

Reminders...

Term 2 fees are now due. If you do not have a BPay set up please make every effort to pay before the end of the school term. Reminder statements have been sent - please check your email or junk folder if you have not received this.

We are accepting enrolment forms for Kindergarten for 2025 plus all other year groups. Please collect an enrolment form from Cathy Dyer in the Front Office. We would love to have the forms back by the end of this term so we can begin enrolment interviews early in Term 3.

Please remember the last day of term - Friday 5 July is a Pupil Free Day. The first day back for Term 3 is a Pupil Free Day

Last day for students is Thursday 4 July

First day for students in Term 3 is Tuesday 23 July.

Looking forward to...

I am looking forward to the Year 3-10 (and a small amount of Year 2) Athletics Carnival this Friday.  It would be great to see families join us to cheer on the students. Pop in for a bit if you have time. Your children love seeing you!

Being part of the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday. It is always a beautiful Mass and a lovely to see our Year 6 students presenting themselves so  maturely.

(The Annual Improvement Plan directions for Terms 3 and 4 will be in next week's newsletter)
