Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

We have one week left of this term. As usual I cannot believe we are half way through 2024.

Thank you to all the parents and Year 5 & 6 students who attended this week's Faith - Filled evening. Thank you to Father Elio Capra and Mrs Douglas for making the evening so successful.

Congratulations to the students of Kilbreda College who performed in Frozen the Musical. Our Year 5 students really enjoyed seeing so many of our past students up on the stage and they were wonderful.

Chocolate Drive

Our Chocolate Drive has been very successful, thank you to all our families who have supported this fundraiser.  We still have some of outstanding boxes/money if you have not returned these please do so before the holidays.  Thank you also to our amazing Year 2 PFA group for organising the chocolate drive.

St Louis' Girls AFL team

Good luck to our Girls AFL team who will be competing on Monday in School Sports Victoria Chelsea District competition.

Fundraising for Charity

Two groups of students from year 5 have done a wonderful job of taking action and making a difference about things that they are passionate about.  One group raised $157.35 for the Dolly Foundation by making and selling cookies and another $221.80 for the Big Freeze by making and selling cupcakes.  Well done to both of these groups for taking on the challenge of raising money for these charities.

Celebration of Learning

All parents are invited to visit your child/ren's classrooms on Tuesday 25 June from 2.30-4 pm.   Mrs Roach and Ms Lena Perriman classes had their Celebration of Learning last week.

Inform and Empower

Next term on the 8 August we will be having a parent cyber safety evening  presented by Inform and Empower it will be an informative and engaging session sharing information about how to keep our kids safe online - information and booking link is on the wellbeing page.

School Choir

The students who have volunteered to sing in the Italian competition are going along so well. It is fantastic to hear a song sung in Italian by our 48 members.

Thank you to Mrs Stefanec and Mrs Healy for their training of the choir. A video will be made late next week and sent off to hopefully make the next round of the competition.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday at the end of next week.

Term 2 finishes on Friday 28 June at 1 pm

Term 3 commences on Monday 15 July at 8.45 am

kind regards
