Food Studies Week: A Culinary Journey

Monday: Kicking off Food Studies Week, our talented students rolled up their sleeves to make delicious chocolate chip cookies. Though they ran out of time to enjoy the warm, gooey cookies straight from the oven, our amazing Chef took care of the baking. After school, the students eagerly swung by to collect their sweet creations. The excitement was just beginning, with more treats to follow throughout the week.

Tuesday: Lunchtime was a real treat with a delicious Triple Chocolate Mug Cake activity. Our students had a blast making (and eating) these quick and easy desserts, adding a fun and chocolatey twist to their day.

Wednesday: The Graduate Kitchen was buzzing with activity as students, guided by a professional chef and assisted by VET hospitality students, whipped up a stack of delicious crepes. The highlight? Enjoying them with real maple syrup from Canada and a variety of jams. It was a delightful and educational experience that everyone enjoyed.

Thursday: Lunchtime activities reached a delicious crescendo with a mini masterclass in food styling. Students learned the art of making food look as good as it tastes, honing their presentation and aesthetics skills. The best part? They got to enjoy their beautifully styled creations, making the experience both educational and tasty.

Friday: The week concluded with a simple yet delightful activity: 3-minute eggs. Students learned the perfect technique for boiling eggs to perfection, adding another essential skill to their culinary repertoire. It was a fitting end to a week filled with fun, learning, and plenty of delicious treats.

Food Studies Week has been a resounding success, filled with fun, learning, and delicious treats. We are proud of our students' enthusiasm and creativity and look forward to more culinary adventures in the future!
