Captains Corner

Welcome back to Captain's Corner term 3 week 2.  We hope you have enjoyed your holidays, not that the weather has held up for us.

As you know we are deep into winter and it is absolutely freezing, which means the oval is usually very muddy from all the rain, and very slippery.  Parents/guardians, this is just a reminder to make sure that your child(ren) are rugged up, and even for the younger ones its not a bad idea to have a spare change of clothes for the weather.

Coming away from Woodend's shocking weather, we have inter-school basketball just a couple of weeks away!  It is on August 6th, which means our selected boys and girls teams will be heading down to Sunbury and competing against some tough competition. So we wish all of you the best of luck!

Now for something that is relevant to all the students and their parents/guardians.  On the 7th of August, Mr Condon has organised a maths Olympics competition and a family open night for everyone to come and see all our great maths work.

Thanks for reading and we hope you have a good fortnight.
