Weekend

Another busy weekend with the usual trip to Eaton Fair Friday night.

It sounds like the students had a great time ice skating at Cockburn on Saturday! Ms. Strehle was impressed with the student's perseverance and determination. It's always rewarding to see students pushing themselves to learn new skills. Well done.

Students had a fantastic Saturday night with their volleyball challenge in the gymnasium! From all reports, it was played in great spirits, whilst music was blaring in the background. Staff were really surprised by how each team treated the other with the utmost respect and even shook hands as they changed ends. Great to see.

Sunday, the fire pit was in full use in the afternoon and evening as students enjoyed chatting and listening to music.

Weekly Activities

Monday saw lots of sporting action, with students travelling to Collie once again for their hockey competition, which is great training for our Country Week team. Sally organised an exercise class for any student who wanted to participate. The netballers also played their weekly game in town.

Tuesday evening was footy training in town for both the boys and girls and there was another game of netball. Some motorbike students assisted Mr Foster and Mr Abel at Jack's Track by getting it into shape to use next term.

With the soft ground, several students continue to build more jumps and other obstacles on the mountain bike track.

Wednesday evening was basketball training for the boys' Country Week team.  It was great to see lots of spectators encouraging the students from both sides.

P.A.R.T.Y. Program

Today, our final group of students went off to the P.A.R.T.Y. Program. Mrs Pfitzner and Mr Swallow took them down to Bunbury and our Chaplain Emma met them there. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to get all Year 11 students through this program, we will have just a handful who, for various reasons, did not get to attend.

Returning for Term 3

This is just a reminder that students return to school after the term break on Tuesday, 16th July, after 3.00 pm, unless they have parent-teacher interviews with their parents, which commence at 12.30 pm.

We hope all students and their families have a great break and stay safe. We hope that we will see you all next term.
