Class Preferences for 2025
As we start preparing our students for the 2025 school year, we are currently consulting with teachers, coordinators and students to help us make informed choices relating to the classes for next year. Our Year 7 students will remain in sports academy- or local enrolment-based classes in Year 8 2025, however our current Year 8 students will be moving into Year 9 where the classes are mixed with both MSA and local enrolment students. Please take this into consideration when making your selections.
All students in 7C-7I and 8A-8I need to complete the surveyno later than Friday 1 Nov to ensure that they have their voice heard in this process.Students will only be able to enter their preferences once, so please let us know if you have any questions prior to submitting the details online.
ACE students please note:
Our ACE students in 7A and 7B do not need to undertake this process. 8A and 8B students can only select their two preferences from these two ACE classes please.
The link below will work for our students only with their school log in details, they will not have access from parent accounts. This link will be shared via Compass at 8am on Monday the 28 October.
Grade 6 into Year 7 2025 Information Night
Our Year 7 & 8 leaders helped us to ensure a successful Year 6 into Year 7 information evening last week. Our leaders helped Ms Smyth and team give our future students a fun night completing an amazing race around the school. This all occurred whilst their parents were gaining vital details about the upcoming school year. A big thank you to Maggie, Chloe and Connor Portelli for their support of the evening with their personal insights from a parent, MSA student and ACE student perspectives.
Thank you to all staff and students for giving up your time on Wednesday, we appreciate it!
Interim Reports & Planner Use
Just a reminder that interim reports will be available in Week 5 and students will benefit from continuing to knuckle down and focus on ensuring their work ethic, behaviour and academic progress is on track. A reminder to all students that planners must be in all classes, every session to ensure all key tasks are recorded in the last 5 minutes of class time. We look forward to celebrating your improvements since the start of term.
Tasmania Camp - not long now!
Please keep a look out on your emails for the 'What to bring' list for students and some general reminders to help you in preparing our 39 students for our Tasmanian adventure. Thank you to all students who have provided their preferences for their room buddies for the camp. We will share this on the compass post to confirm that also.
Our Year 7 and 8 classes will continue as normal for the duration of the trip which departs on Monday 18 November (from Maribyrnong College) and returns in the evening on Thursday 21 November (parent pick up from Tullamarine Airport).
For any camp related queries please email rachel.collins@education.vic.gov.au or pop into the Junior School office at any time.
