1/2 N

We are 1/2N!

Dear Families,

This term is flying by, and there are so many fun activities happening at SFX! Some of our students have started attending music lessons, learning to play the guitar or keyboard. We've also begun playing soccer!

Soccer Day

Last week, 1/2N had a very exciting morning when the soccer coaches from Baxter Soccer Club came to our school. We learned new skills, such as how to dribble and control the ball.

I had a wonderful time joining in the fun with the students as they paired up and attempted to score goals. The children were very supportive of one another, cheering and applauding each other's efforts.

Literacy

In literacy, we have begun writing personal letters for the Annual VCOP Letter Writing Exchange. We enjoyed brainstorming all the wonderful things about ourselves that are unique, which we wish to share with other classes around Australia. We will be posting our letters in Week 4 and will receive letters from other schools to open each day of Advent.

Maths

We have started learning all about time and how to read a clock. The students have enjoyed using clocks and turning the hands to represent time to the hour. We will continue to explore time, including learning to tell time to the half-hour and quarter-hour.

Reminder

Just a friendly reminder that next week, the 1/2s will be attending Mass at church on Tuesday, 29th October, at 9:15 a.m. We invite all families to join us in celebrating this special occasion. Some students will be doing the readings, and we would love it if you could support them during this time.

Kind Regards,

Nicole
