Cluster Groups ~ St. Anne's College Kialla
Our journey of faith continued with our First Cluster Group gathering on Thursday, October 24th, at St. Anne’s College, Kialla. Together, we explored the Steps in Faith Reconciliation Book, sharing insights and participating in activities that deepened our understanding of this meaningful sacrament.
Cluster Groups offer a wonderful opportunity for candidates and their families to come together in reflection, connection, and mutual support within a warm and welcoming environment. One of the highlights was engaging in Godly Play, where we shared the story of the Forgiving Father, listening, wondering, and reflecting through creativity and play. We also shared symbols and photographs representing the ‘love’ in our families.
During our time together, we played Jenga and discovered its connection to the Sacrament of Reconciliation. At our assembly, our candidates shared how the Jenga tower symbolises life: sometimes, we stumble, yet with God’s love, family, and friends, we can rebuild and grow stronger. Why not try sharing this message with your family over a game of Jenga this long weekend?
Next Cluster Group ~ We look forward to welcoming everyone to St. Mel's School for our next cluster group on the 14th of November.

A huge congratulations to our entire school community for a fantastic Mission Month Crazy Hair Day! Together, we raised an impressive $186 for our local St. Vincent de Paul (St. Vinnie's), supporting families and individuals in need within our community.
A special thank you goes out to our Year 6 Social Justice Team, who took the lead in organizing this fun-filled event. Their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm made the day a success! Students and staff showed off some wonderfully wacky and creative hairstyles, adding a splash of color and fun while promoting and raising much-needed funds.
Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed. Through small actions and a big community spirit, we’re making a difference!

In our liturgical calendar, we look to the month of November. In the Catholic tradition, November is traditionally a month of remembrance of those who have died. The month begins with the Solemnity of All Saints on the 1st of November and the Commemoration of the All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day), on 2 November.
Today on November 1st we celebrate All Saints Day. This day is dedicated to remembering those who have been canonised saints by the Church. Some discussions you might like to have as a family - Who are some saints you know? St. Mel, St. Patrick, Mary Mackillop, Mother Teresa. People are sometimes named after saints, do you know anyone? What qualities might a saint possess - faith and belief in God, love for fellow people and standing up for those who have no voice, compassion, service to others?
How can we learn from saints, how can we follow in their footsteps?
Who do we know that shows the qualities of a saint in your own life?
See our Parish Bulletin for how our church will commemorate these days in November.
Open our HEARTS up to the world & be COMPASSIONATE!
