Netball
This year Kiarah G, Claudia K, Adelaide S & Aleena A (all Level 5) took their love of netball to the next level, when they tried out against 70 other U11s applicants to successfully gain a position in the Waverley Representative team.
Not only have they continued to play for their domestic Club Waverley Meadows they have also taken on the responsibility of extra weekly training and games, as well as competed in Sunday tournaments throughout the year.
Their dedication to their sport, coaches and their teammates has been admirable - not to mention the improvement in their skills and understanding of the game. All whilst balancing all of their other school and extra-curricular commitments. Little legends!
Maths
Over the holidays, Ben B (Level 5) was accepted into the University of Melbourne School of Mathematics & Statistics, Micro Mathematicians program.
To apply, Ben had to submit his academic report and a 200-word expression of interest, explaining his passion for accelerated maths.
Here is Ben participating in the virtual session from his caravan in the Blue Mountains!
The session was all about counting mathematically - they played some mathematical / statistical games, did some problem solving and learnt about Pascal's Triangle & the Fibonacci Sequence! Awesome work Ben!
