Welcome back!

I hope you had a refreshing break and that ANZAC Day was a meaningful time for your family as you paused to remember and reflect together.

A big thank you to our Primary School Captains and students who represented our College so proudly at the ANZAC March in Wagga on Saturday. We also gathered as a whole school last Friday for a special assembly to honour and remember the sacrifice of so many throughout our nation’s history. It was a valuable time of reflection as we gave thanks to God for the courage and service of those who have protected our country.

We’re now looking ahead to some special community moments this term. Our Primary School Muffins with Mum event will be held on Wednesday 6th May. This is always a lovely opportunity to slow down and spend some time together; enjoying muffins, creating a small craft keepsake, and yes… you might even be treated to having your nails painted by your child! We’re also looking forward to hearing a short encouragement from one of our College mums, Tash. Please remember to book tickets for yourself and your child/ren so we can cater well for everyone.

Our Praisebeat dance group, led by the phenomenal Mrs Curline, is back up and running this term. The group is already preparing for their first recital and performances later in the term. Just a reminder that students need to sign up each term, so please return permission notes and payment as soon as possible to assist with planning.

Our Cross Country event is coming up on Tuesday 5th May. K–2 students will run during the morning here at school, and Years 3–6 will head to Lake Albert for their races beginning at 1:30pm. Please refer to the information sent home for full details , we’d love to see you there cheering the students on!

As the weather begins to cool, a reminder that all Primary School students are expected to be in full winter uniform from Monday 4th May.

There is so much to look forward to this term, and it has already begun with such a positive and purposeful start.

Thank you for your continued support,  it makes such a difference in the life of our school community.

The GRIP Leadership Conference

The GRIP leadership conference has given Year 6 students practical, hands-on skills that they could use straight away here at school and in our wider community. We discovered topics like tackling school challenges and running meaningful events and support to those around us. Students discovered that true leadership is built on empathy, integrity, and respect and not popularity or personal gain. They learnt that being a great leader means putting others before yourself.
