ANZAC Day 2026

On Friday 24 April, our school community came together to respectfully observe ANZAC Day and honour the courage and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women.

In the lead-up to the day, each class took part in meaningful learning experiences to better understand who the ANZACs were and why it is so important to remember them. As part of this learning, every class created a commemorative wreath. These wreaths were then carefully displayed along the fence at the front of the school, creating a powerful and visible tribute for our community.

In the afternoon, students and staff gathered for a whole-school commemoration. Our Principal addressed the school and shared a personal story from her own family, helping students connect more deeply with the significance of the day. This was followed by our School Captains, who delivered The Ode of Remembrance with great respect and composure. The ceremony concluded with the playing of the Last Post, during which the entire school stood in silence to reflect.

On Saturday morning, ANZAC Day, a number of our students proudly represented the school at the Dawn Service in Pakenham, beginning at 5:45am. They were joined by several staff members, including our Principals, Mrs Mauger, Ms Holding and Mrs O'Brien, showing the strong sense of community and respect that extends beyond the school grounds.

We are proud of the thoughtful and respectful way our students engaged in this important commemoration. Lest we forget.
