In Year 5....
Last Friday, our Year 5 students led a moving and respectful ANZAC Ceremony for our school community. In the lead-up to the event, they worked very hard to learn their speaking parts, practise readings, and understand the significance of ANZAC Day. Their commitment and preparation were evident, and they should be very proud of the way they conducted themselves.
Presenting in front of the whole school takes real courage, and our Year 5 students rose to the occasion with confidence and maturity. They spoke clearly, showed respect, and helped create a thoughtful and meaningful ceremony that honoured those who have served.
We were also incredibly proud of the rest of the school, who demonstrated outstanding respect and attentiveness throughout the ceremony. It was a powerful reminder of the strong sense of community within our school.
It was lovely to see so many parents and carers attend to support the Year 5 students and share in this important occasion. Thank you to everyone who helped make the ceremony special.

In Foundation ...
On Friday 24th of April, the Foundation students made ANZAC biscuits. They helped to mix the ingredients and follow the steps, and their favourite part was getting to eat them!
Through this activity, students learned about the significance of ANZAC Day and the importance of remembering and honouring the soldiers who served and sacrificed for our country. We discussed how ANZAC biscuits were traditionally made and sent to soldiers, as they did not spoil easily during long journeys. Students also explored how ANZAC Day is a time to show respect, reflect on the bravery of others, and express gratitude for those who have served.

Harmony Day ...

At the end of Term 1, Year 3C celebrated achieving the highest attendance with a hot chip lunch. Congratulations to 3C on this fantastic achievement. We look forward to seeing which class will take out the top spot in Term 2.
