Wellbeing at Moriac

Kids Helpline Sessions

Over the last week and into the remaining weeks of Term 2, our students from F-6 will be participating in a range of Kids Helpline sessions focusing on a range of topics from Peer pressure, friendships to being resilient.

These programs are engaging, fun and incorporating a few simple take aways for our students to implement and add to their toolbox of strategies and supports.

Berry Street BSEM

During the first few weeks of Term 2, all staff participated in a training day, focused around the importance of connecting with our students on an individual level and fostering a learning environment where all students feel valued, respected and cared for.

Throughout 2024 we have implemented a number of resources into our classrooms to build connections amongst our communities. These are:

*Morning circles

*Mindfulness

*Brain Breaks

*Ready to Learn Scale

*Ready to Learn Plans

Below is a video to explain what Berry Street BSEM is a little further...

Gratitude at Moriac

Each week at Moriac we focus our attention on giving gratitude to other people including other students and staff, the process of doing this looks slightly different from a F-2 level to 3-6. Our students are really enjoying these opportunities for showing kindness to others.

Below is a year to date display from the 3-6 student community with the number and types of gratitude being shared.
