Ed in Faith

Over the past fortnight, we have continued to develop our connections with our environment as Stewards of Creation. We have been reading a variety of scriptures and stories, such as 'Noah's Ark' and 'The Rainbow Serpent,' to make connections between ourselves and these narratives about being Stewards of Creation.

Additionally, Miss Marion visited both 1/2 classes to discuss the main events in the Catholic liturgical calendar, as well as the colors that reflect those events. As a fun activity, the students explored the liturgical cloth colours that correspond to their birth months.

Maths

We have begun to explore the fun and exciting world of patterns! Students have enjoyed creating repeating and growing patterns using a variety of materials such as unifix cubes, teddies, counters, and drawings. We are forming connections between our understanding of shape and colour patterns and addition and subtraction patterns with rules, such as skip counting by 2s, 3s, and 5s.
