VIRTUAL WORK EXPERIENCE - HAVE YOU TRIED IT!

The St Joseph’s College Careers Tools website features the opportunity to undertake virtual work experience. Undertaking work experience during school term breaks is not always possible for some students, however, this platform enables you to experience multiple workplaces at your own speed, and really see what a job is all about without setting foot into the actual workplace. You can have one or multiple experiences, complete tasks and activities that are typical of that job and get a certificate of completion at the end.

So, what are you waiting for! Let’s be a policeperson, environmental scientist, lawyer, physiotherapist for a day!

25 EMERGING OCCUPATIONS (NATIONAL SKILLS COMMISSION)

The National Skills Commission has identified and developed profiles on 25 emerging occupations.

What are emerging occupations?

These are defined as new, frequently advertised jobs which are substantially different to the common jobs we see in existence today (although they sometimes seem quite similar).

They are organised into a number of different categories as shown here.

Occupations are classified to the ANZSCO 4-digit level and regions are classified as SA4.

Choose your occupation for current trend analysis, growth, and where jobs are available across Australia.
