BEAUMARIS SECONDARY COLLEGE ART SHOW

THE ART SHOW IS ON  TONIGHT!! We look forward to welcoming ALL of our Black Rock Primary students from Years 4-6 who will be showcasing an art piece at the Beaumaris Secondary College Art Show, as well as our Monster competition winners from Foundation and Year 1, who have had their drawings transformed into 3D sculptures by some talented Secondary school students. Please support and join us as these events are full of creativity inspired by our students for everyone to enjoy.

June 27th 5.30-7pm.

IN THE ART ROOM

We have finished off the term with some amazing projects and creations by our students. The students finalised their clay with both bright and pearlescent paints and then began their constructions projects.

Foundation students have enjoyed making a range of animals using plasticine, cardboard, paper plates and cardboard rolls and yarn. We have loved watching them develop fine motor skills and creativity.

In Year One and Two, we have seen lots of different projects including wobble birds, cardboard houses, 3D Lions, paper faces and Black Cockatoos. A range of different materials have been used throughout the term including paper mache, paint, cardboard and boxes.

Our Year Threes have been busy making amazing animal wall hangings using paper mache, paint and Poscas and they also made 3D rockets that were out of this world!

Year Four have shown their skills when creating 3D animals hatching from eggs and were inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama when designing patterns that were painted onto cardboard rolls.

Year Fives and Sixes have been busy with various creations including, 3D habitats for their clay creatures and 3D sculptures of Australian animals. They all looked amazing!

Looking into Term 3!

We are looking forward to a jam packed Term 3 of Visual Arts, with a focus of Threads and Textiles.

We hope all our amazing BRPS artists enjoy a lovely school holidays and have some creative time with family and friends.

Some fun holiday activities might include guided drawing tutorials, painting or maybe even checking out an art gallery.

Australian artist Peter Cromer has free downloadable colouring patterns and cut and paste art projects on his website for a fun creative activity at home.
