From the Principal

Hi everyone,

Another two weeks have flown by - with the major highlight being the Year 4 Camp and Open Night.  Thank you to the Year 4 staff and parents for attending camp and making it so enjoyable for the students, I know the students all had an amazing time!

Open Night was great fun on Tuesday night! Thank you to Mrs Bird for her video highlighting our STEM program here at OGPS, and to the Education Week committee for their organisation of the night. The Book Fair was a popular place to be - thank you to Mrs Warton and Mrs Sheridan for their organisation of the fair. Thank you also goes to all of our teachers who stayed back at school to help make the night such a success. Also, to every parent and carer who came along to visit classrooms and explore the fantastic activities on offer. Also, a huge thank you for the time (and money!) spent at the book fair, the money raised through this event is spent on updating the library with new books.

Thank you to our parent volunteers who came to help out at the Mother's and Special Person's stall last week. Our students love being able to choose something special on their own and for us to provide them this opportunity we rely on our fantastic volunteers. Also, a big thank you to the Foundation Team for their Mother's Day breakfast - a great Foundation tradition here - and to everyone who attended. Also a shout out to Mr Moore for his pancake cooking!

The 16th of May is Education Support Staff Day. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing support staff here at OGPS. From our wonderful Admin team in the office and First Aid room to our patient and caring, teacher and student aides - we would not have OGPS functioning as it does without you all - Thank you for everything you do for all of us here at OGPS.

Finally, don't forget to check out the Wellbeing News - all about our SWPBS Blue Award!

Till next time.
