Week 6 & 7

What's happening in the art room? 

Prep - Inspired by Megan Coyles' fruit and vegetable art collages, the Preps have spent the last few weeks creating their own collages using kinder squares and newspaper backgrounds. They have skillfully ripped, cut, stuck, and adjusted the paper to perfectly form their chosen fruits or vegetables.

Year 1/2 - Drawing inspiration from Claes Oldenburg's 'Floor Burger' and 'Giant BLT,' the Year 1 and 2 students have sketched out their ideal 'Dream Burger.' In Week 8, they will bring their sketches to life by constructing their burgers using collage techniques.

Year 3/4 - Students are finishing their Andy Warhol inspired Pop art pieces, preparing them for display. The art room looks vibrant and colourful with all the artwork hanging up.

Year 5/6 - Students have been progressing with their Andy Warhol inspired onomatopoeic artwork and are now in the final stages. They are currently assembling the three stages of their piece to complete their vibrant creations.
