Wear It Yellow

Last week the whole College participated in the 'Wear it Yellow' Day to celebrate National Reconciliation Week! During morning assembly a group of First Nations students gathered to participate in the cultural tradition of wearing ochre paint and other clothing items and accessories. Throughout the day, all students participated in different Indigenous-themed classroom activities and spent time reflecting on 'reconciliation'. Our Community & Fundraising student leadership group also spent their lunchtime selling yellow cupcakes to raise funds to go to the Children's Ground, a First Nations not-for-profit organisation along with the gold coin donations. Overall the College raised over $500!
