Southern SATIS Cross Country Carnival

Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2024 Southern SATIS Cross Country Carnival at Queens Domain last Wednesday.

In wet and muddy conditions, Team sVc had a fantastic day.

Initially presented with both the Junior Boys and Aggregate Boys Shields and no pennant wins, a scoring glitch saw significant changes to the results.

An updated summary of Pennant and Shield Results is as follows:

Pennants

  • U13: 1st (presented 2nd)
  • U14: 5th (presented 2nd)
  • U15: 3rd (presented 4th)
  • U16: 1st (presented 2nd)
  • Open: 4th

Shields

  • Boys Junior: 2nd (presented 1st)
  • Boys Aggregate: 2nd (presented 1st)

Regardless of the changes, it was still a tremendous effort from Team sVc.

A massive congratulations to Arden Petersen (Year 8) for winning the U14 title. Good luck to those students who earned an invitation to the Tasmanian All Schools Cross Country Championships at Symmons Plains on Thursday 13 June.

Swimming

Congratulations to Oscar Brewer (Year 12) for his selection in the Tasmanian Swimming Team to compete at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships on the Gold Coast from 27-31 July. Wishing Oscar all the best.
