Our Vision

Each child has a gift or talent. It is our job to find it and to show it to them.

Our Mission

Identify the talent, develop the confidence and create the leader.

What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other?

Colour Run Video – Acknowledgement of Contributions

We at Le Page Primary school would like to say a special thank you to Alain Behar for producing an outstanding Colour Run video for our community. His creativity, skill, and generous contribution captured the joy and energy of the day beautifully. Thanks also to Garry Tanner for his high-quality photography, which enhanced the final production. Contributions such as these significantly enrich our school culture and strengthen community connections.

Book Fair

The annual Book Fair started this week and continues to be a highly anticipated event for students. It supports our commitment to fostering a strong reading culture across the school and provides families with opportunities to explore new literature and support our library program.

Cyber Safety Sessions for Parents and Students

The Social and Fundraising Team scheduled a series of Cyber Safety sessions. These sessions were designed to provide students and families with practical tools for navigating the digital world safely and responsibly. Student workshops were planned to be engaging and informative, while the parent session aimed to offer guidance around emerging online risks and strategies to support children at home. Thank you so much Judith Preston for her extensive work in organising these sessions and helping strengthen our whole-school approach to digital wellbeing.

Celebrating Staff

We would like to congratulate Anna Ottersbach and her husband Dave on the news that they were expecting their first child. This marked a joyful and significant moment for their family, and we wish them all the best as they prepare for this exciting new chapter.

Sporting Achievements

This week, our girls softball team competed at the SSV Primary Schools Girls State Softball competition. This was a celebration of their efforts and achievements not only from this year, but over the past 3 years with their endeavours and efforts in training to develop their skills to reach this pinnacle event. Unfortunately they didn’t quite reach the standards that they had shown previously, but they all tried their best and showed great enthusiasm, sportsmanship, encouragement and support of each other. The girls included four year 4 girls, one year 5 and 9 year 6 girls. Congratulations to you all, we are all very proud of your efforts and achievements.

Bike Education Program

Our Bike Education program has now started for students in years 3-6. The program is designed to build safe riding practices, road awareness, and confidence. This program remains an important element of our Health and Physical Education curriculum, and students are eager to take part. The program will conclude in the final two weeks of the year with a Big Ride Out for years 5 and 6, and a Small Ride Out for the year 3 and 4 students.

Foundation Mini Concert Preparation

Our Foundation students are actively rehearsing for their mini concert to be performed next week. This event provides a joyful opportunity for our youngest learners to share their developing confidence, creativity, and performance skills with the school community.

Student-Led Conferences - Leadership Notebooks

This week on Thursday 27th November, we held our Student-Led Conferences. Parents were welcomed into their child’s classroom and students guided them through their Leadership Notebooks, sharing their personal and academic goals, targets, and lead measures. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for students to take ownership of their learning journey and for families to engage meaningfully with their child’s progress.

Curriculum Planning for Term 1

Over the past two weeks, teaching teams have been working collaboratively to plan the 2026 Term 1 English and Mathematics units of study. This work focuses on ensuring a consistent whole-school approach, strengthening curriculum alignment, and designing learning sequences that support high-quality instruction. Staff are also reviewing assessment tools and intervention needs in preparation for the new school year.

Fire Hydrant and Underground Services Works

Fire hydrant upgrades and associated underground works are continuing onsite. This includes the replacement of outdated piping to ensure the system meets current safety and compliance requirements. The works have progressed steadily, and further updates will be provided as the project moves toward completion.

Concrete and Asphalt  Maintenance Update

The Boongalla Group has been on-site to begin repair works on several areas of concern around the school grounds.

The initial stage of works involved grinding and removing concrete trip hazards across identified sections of the school. In addition to this, the Boongalla Group will be arranging for further personnel to attend and inspect the asphalt/bitumen surfaces, as this component is expected to require more extensive work.

Their assessment will also include consideration of the potential removal of the concrete cylinders located at the front of the school, pending feasibility and safety requirements.
