Our F-2 students will be attending the District Schools Kickball Sports Day next Friday 7th November.  They are looking forward to this day where they can apply their kicking skills and their kickball game team work they have been working on during Health and PE sessions. It should be a fun day of participation and activity with other schools from our district! Next we will move onto our ball bounce skills as well as refining some of our other fundamental motor skills including running, jumping, throwing and catching through obstacle courses, small group relays and whole group games followed by a focus on athletics.

Our 3-6 students have been highly engaged in our Handball unit over the past few weeks!  It has been wonderful to observe the enthusiastic participation, brilliant teamwork and developing skills of our students.  Next we move onto some volleyball related skills followed by athletics.

This week we revisited growth and change as part of our Health studies – changes as we grow and develop, associated emotions, as well as strategies to help manage and support oneself through these times.  Next we will move onto strategies to support our health, safety and wellbeing followed by community influence on health and wellbeing.

Later this term we will hold our annual School Athletics Sports Day.  This will take place on Friday 5th December. This is a highlight of mine and of many of the students as we come together in our house colours to engage in different athletic activities including sprinting and running and we foster great team spirit!  Families are invited to attend this day to enjoy watching the students participate and are welcome to share in a picnic lunch with us on the oval.  The day will run from 9am through until the end of lunch eating time at 1:45pm.
