What a time it has been in music! Thank you to all of you for coming and making our Arts Evening such a successful event. We had a lot of fun in our lessons this week reflecting on and responding to the music we made.

The children exceeded all expectations; both musically and in the way they conducted themselves. I was incredibly impressed by all the classes and when it came time to select a specialist award recipient for last week's assembly, I simply couldn't do it. There was no reasonable number of awards that could be given out because all our students represented the school with truly exceptional standards. Instead I handed out as many awards as I felt were deserved in lessons.
I awarded the entire F/1/2 class for their ability to follow the conductor.

In the 3/4 classroom I handed out awards for musicality, bravery, initiative and resilience.

In the 5/6 class I saw dedication, perseverance, patience, integrity and humility. The most respected musicians aren’t just defined by their talent, but also by their character and professionalism.
