Last week we proudly hosted our first Arts evening, a vibrant showcase of creativity, imagination, and talent within our school community. We saw colourful visual art displays and dynamic music performances, starting the night with our Year 5/6 being hosts and showcasing the food they had prepared.
I would like to thank all staff at St Mary's for their organisation and commitment to the Arts evening, I would like to send a special shout out to our Music teacher - Rachel and our Visual Arts teacher - Anita, who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to put our Arts evening together.
Thank you to all the families and friends that attended the evening, it made our students feel special and empowered them to share their art, talent and hard work with you.
In the spirit of thanking teachers, today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for the incredible contributions our teachers make to our community.
Our Arts evening is just one example of how our teachers work together to support our students at every opportunity.
To all our dedicated teachers at St Mary's Castlemaine, thank you for everything that you do, day in and day out. Thank you for always bringing your best to work and continuing to put our students first.
Just a reminder that coming Monday 3rd November is a Pupil Free Day followed by the Melbourne Cup Holiday on Tuesday 4th November. I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
