Year 3 - Middle Unit

Year 1 - 3 Performance
We hope that everyone enjoyed yesterday’s amazing performance. Thankfully the weather played nice! It was
Congratulations to Joseph Bromley, our esteemed music teacher, for pulling together such an engaging and entertaining performance!
School/House Captain Speeches
The Year 3s were very privileged to spend last Wednesday and this Wednesday listening to speeches and voting for school and house captains. It was fantastic to see ‘democracy’ in action. The Year 3s got a chance to see what is required to obtain a leadership role at W.P.S. We had some interesting discussions around what makes a good speech and ways in which a speaker can engage the audience. Hopefully the Year 3s have been inspired to pursue their own leadership opportunities when the time arises.
It would be remiss of us not to congratulate all the Year 5 students who steeled their nerves and gave us some fantastic speeches! We look forward to the announcement of who has been successful in securing a role.
‘How to…’ Instructional Videos
The Year 3 teachers wish to thank all the parents and siblings who have been helping the Year 3s create their instructional videos. So far, the videos have been AMAZING and everyone has done an excellent job! We have thoroughly enjoyed sharing them in the classroom and finding out about some hidden talents. There are definitely some tech wizards out there…
If your child still needs to film and upload their video, we ask that you do so at your earliest convenience.
Please note: not all students elected to do a video and some have filmed their videos at school.
