Prep - This term, students will be focusing on Earth and space science; learning about the weather and how it affects our daily lives. This week, all classes continued to focus on seasons. Due to the Curriculum Day, Pubilc Holiday and Mini Olympics last week, some classes were looking at how seasons affect what people see and do and other classes were looking at how seasons affect plants and animals.
Years 1/2 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and learning to follow the engineering design process. The focus will be on turning ideas into solutions. Due to the Curriculum Day, Pubilc Holiday and Mini Olympics last week some classes had time this week to complete their Snail, Ant or Mythical Creature and other classes began their next design and build challenge.
Year 3 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and following the engineering design process to create suitable solutions to problems. This week, students were introduced to the program Tinkercad. Tinkercad allows students to create 3D designs that can then be printed using our 3D printers. We will be focusing on the design process while using Tinkercad.
Year 4 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and following the engineering design process to create suitable solutions to problems. This week, students refamiliarised themselves with Tinkercad (3D design software). They will be using Tinkercad for the rest of the term.
Years 5/6 - This term, students will be focusing on design technologies and following the engineering design process to evaluate, refine and improve their solutions. This week, students finalised their balloon car project and started to refamiliarise themselves with Tinkercad (3D design software).
