What do you love most about working at St Joseph's College?

The students - every year you get to develop new relationships with the students in your classes and their families. I love that there have been so many changes over the past 20 years, we have grown so much, provided a wealth of new opportunities for the students and we never stop striving to be better. I love the fact that I get to spend every work day with so many great people - staff and students alike. It is easy to get out of bed to go to work every day.

What has been your most memorable moment in your time at St Joseph's College?

I loved being the Sports Coordinator and interacting with students in their element on the sporting field. Fr. Tink came to every event, even to Melbourne, and always wanted to know when the next sporting event was on and where. His enthusiasm for life and love of our students was infectious. I have loved being involved in the Timor Leste Immersions, what a place to go. We learn so much with every visit and recognise to be grateful for what we have and to make the most of every opportunity. Words can not do justice to the experience. I love simple things like the LM lunchtime netball competition. I love the fact that so many students say thank you at the end of a lesson. I love teaching HHD and seeing the Yr 12s (and many Yr 11s) grow as learners and young adults as the year progresses. I love going on the Yr 12 Retreat and all other camps. Getting out of the classroom is a great way to get to know others better.

What is 1 thing that people would be surprised to learn about you?

I'm not sure here as most people probably know most things about me! The students mightn't know that I played a lot of netball for a lot of years back when I was fitter and injury free. I wasn't the best player, but I loved the team atmosphere and giving it my best each week. I was even President of EFNC for a couple of years.
