State Soccer (Year 7 Girls)
What an experience it was for our Year 7 girls soccer team to play in a state final in Melbourne! The team played courageously against some fierce competition at the Darebin International Sports Centre. But despite their best efforts, the girls were defeated in all three games.
Thank you to Mr Chakabva for coaching and to Mr Brady and Ms Harding-Davies for supporting on the day.
Netball Victoria Championships
Our Year 8 girls netball team held their own on the courts of the State Netball Centre in Parkville, against an even playing field. They displayed incredible determination and teamwork throughout the day to finish with 6 wins and 3 narrow losses.
Well done girls and thank you to Ms Clare Orton for coaching.
Victorian Clay Target Association State School Children’s Championships
Congratulations to Aiden Calleja and Izabelle Keirl for their achievements at the Victorian Clay Target Association (VCTA) State School Children’s Championships on September 4.
Aiden came 3rd, after a three way sudden death shoot off and Izabelle placed 4th overall.
Competing against the state’s best and emerging talents, both students competed with great skill and discipline and we are incredibly proud of you both!
Campaspe Basketball (Year 7 Boys)
Our Year 7 boys had a successful day on the court in Rochester and will now progress to the LMR competition in Bendigo with our three other basketball teams. Great effort boys! Thank you to Ms Baker and Mr Kennedy for supporting the team.
Campaspe Athletics
Over 70 students travelled to compete at the Campaspe Athletics in Shepparton on Monday 11 September. We had some excellent individual and team results!
The following students broke records in their events which was amazing!
- Lynkoln Richardson (U13 boys): 400m, 800m and shot put
- Amalie Southern (U13 girls): 800m
- Josie Offord (U13 girls): long jump
- U13 Boys: 4 x 100m relay team
Special congratulations to Lynkoln Richardson who was also awarded the U13 Age Champion!
Well done to all the students who participated. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you!
Information for the LMR event in Bendigo on Thursday 5 October will be available on Compass.
