Year 8 Geography Indigenous Cultural and Spirituality Walk

Two classes of Year 8 Geography had the amazing opportunity to explore the opportunities that Echuca's Scenic Drive can provide to our students with Jye Warren the Student Pastoral Wellbeing Education Officer for Sandhurst. 

Jye spoke to the students about the diverse cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and their long and continuous strong connection with Country and Place. Students learned about the cultural, spiritual and aesthetic value of the Murray River and the flora and fauna used historically by Indigenous cultures, including the idea of custodial responsibility.
