Principal's

News

Dear Parents,

I’m back in our wonderful country and looking forward to Term 4 at St Joseph’s.  It is set to be  a great term focussing on ensuring every student continues to make positive growth in their learning along with many opportunities for students to shine in activities such as concert, art show, camps, swimming and many other Term 4 events.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Sue Jackson for being Acting Principal in my absence. I could not be more grateful to be able to to away and know the school is left in capable hands.  Many thanks to our other wonderful leaders Trish, Kate and Jane and all staff who supported and kept things sailing along.

The Camino walk was an amazing experience and one I will treasure forever. Walking each day for 15- 22kms along beautiful tracks meeting people from all over the globe, young, old, different capabilities - all just on the same pathway with different purposes but all walking for the common good.

Pope Francis asks for our global community to discover and implement common solutions to bring hope for all of the world and for people to be on a pathway to ensure peace and love.

One world, one people, our common home- connection to the earth, grounded in nature, connected to the people you journey with and connection to self  with one foot in front of the other  following the Camino arrow, walking, listening, noticing, breathing.

We warmly welcome Peter Whyte back after a super long service leave.  Our wonderful Peter is having a change of focus and will return in a different role. Peter will be working two days a week on Thursday and Friday and will step out of his leadership role. We thank you Peter for all he has done as Deputy of St Joseph’s and we are so happy he is continuing on as a valued member of our team.

We welcome Rick Stubbins to the ¾ class replacing Jess Scudamore and know he will do a brilliant job supporting our middle school.

The parent social night and Art show are coming up on Saturday 21st October so come along and join in the fun and support our wonderful school.

Marketing and promotion

The best marketing tool for our school is word of mouth. We would love you to  promote our wonderful school to any interested and potential families.

Please promote that we are an inclusive community where all families are welcome and we have a concessional fee policy for all health care recipients and any families suffering financial hardship.

We are having a dedicated marketing campaign where we are offering a chance to win a scholarship for any parent who successfully refers a family to our school. If you refer a family you will go in the draw to win a scholarship for your family fee for the 2024 school year. Places are limited for 2024 so please let any prospective family know so they don’t miss out as we will be keeping our class sizes to a minimum to ensure we provide an excellent learning environment for all.

Above all take care and I look forward to seeing you all.

Yours in Partnership,

Gab
