From the Principal

I would like to welcome everyone back to the start of Term 4! I hope everyone in our school community had a very relaxing break and you were able to spend some quality time with family and friends... I know I did!

As I have previously communicated, Term 4 is always full of excitement for a range of reasons. It signals the end of the current school year and also welcomes the beginning of the year ahead. I encourage all parents and carers to maintain a very positive approach to your parenting and continue to support your child the best ways you can. One of the big-ticket items this term is of course the transitioning into new year levels. This week friendship preference forms will have been sent out to you. Please take the time to sit down with your child to have meaningful discussions about the friends that might be included on their list. I have said this before and will say it again, we spend a huge amount of time building new class lists. Friendships are one component to the building of new classes. Other factors include gender and academic balance and the overall knowledge our staff have of our students.

In the coming weeks I will welcome input from you, if you have specific requests regarding the placement of your child in their new class. Please be aware that any requests that are made, must be for legitimate educational, social and/or emotional wellbeing reasons.

This term all our teachers will continue to have the highest expectations with your child's learning and behaviour. Our main focus is to continue to build on the successes that have been achieved across this year. You all play such an important role with this, and we look forward to fostering positive partnerships with you all this term.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheers,

Richard
