Flourishing in 2023

1/2s LOVE BEACH STEAM!

Last week we began our Beach STEAM program.  We walked down to the beach and had a turn at trying two different open ended activities. We had to make a Spider's Web using sticks and string.  We also made sand timers for our ‘Time Challenge’ activity.   The main skills we used were co-operation, brainstorming and problem solving.  We loved working with our friends, teachers and parent helpers.

“I learnt that if you make the hole smaller in the top, the sand slows down when you tip it up.” Frankie

“I loved walking to the beach and doing the activities.” Indie

“There were fun activities at the beach.” Aniela

“The glasses protected our eyes when we were using the sticks.” Chloe

“The lid with the hole helped to slow the sand down when we were making our timers.” Amelia

“I liked doing the sand timer with the bottles.” Skyla
