Year 1 Highlight

This term, our students have been engaging in Oral Language Play twice a week, providing a fun and interactive way to strengthen their speaking and listening skills. Through these activities, students have formed new friendships and participated in rich discussions about their experiences.

Following on from Oral Language Play, students transition into writing, using their discussions as a foundation to build their ideas. They are learning what makes a great writer by following a learning intention and success criteria to guide their progress. This approach helps them develop confidence in both speaking and writing while fostering creativity and collaboration.
